Crater and Mission

Crater is an AI-based camera designed to create pitch films for independent filmmakers, paired with a digital platform called Mission. In the landscape of modern world cinema and British cinema, independent filmmakers often struggle with securing the right resources, and time to realize their vision. Pitching to studios and crowdfunding platforms becomes essential in such a scenario. Traditional pitch materials, like slide decks and images, often capture only a fraction of a film’s essence. Mission assists in creating a concise pitch film of up to one minute from a full script of any length, format, genre, style, or purpose. Crater, as the accompanying camera, generates a template with LUTs, aesthetic corrections, live suggestions, and adjustments through image recognition and data based on the director’s preferences.

Who is this for?

Crater is designed for independent filmmakers who face challenges such as limited budgets, technical expertise, and time constraints when producing pitch films. These filmmakers often struggle to compete with larger studios and navigate complex production processes. Crater aims to provide an AI-powered solution that simplifies the technical aspects of filmmaking—like shot composition and script analysis—while preserving the filmmaker’s creative vision. By making the pitching process more efficient and accessible, Crater empowers indie filmmakers to focus on storytelling rather than technical limitations.
